From the reviews

Had a great experience at this studio. Both teachers were friendly, welcoming and before my first class, they gave a great explanation of how this particular form of yoga is practiced so I felt like I knew what to do to be in sync with the more seasoned students.

WPY has become a favorite of mine. I’ve had the pleasure of taking classes from four different instructors, and although there are similarities and expectations that are established, they each bring their own uniqueness and personality to the table.

This studio is new but with an old charm vibe in City of Burlington. Great energy! It is somewhat small but unique in spirit. The entire class breaths together and it is a whole group effort. At my first class I found that to be intimidating but by second class, I appreciated the constant reminders to breath together.

There are so many things I love about this studio!! The owners are incredibly friendly and welcoming. They've done a great job creating a space that feels warm and inviting. The studio stays true to the essence of yoga, with no mirrors and a focus on traditional practices, which I deeply appreciate.

Your first hot yoga class at Wisconsin Power Yoga

Nervous about your first hot class? Almost everyone is, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: the room is heated to around ~95°F, so it feels intense for the first few minutes — rest in child's pose any time you need to, no one will bat an eye. Hydrate: drink water through the day before class, not just as you arrive, and bring a bottle. What to bring: a mat and towel (or rent them here), water, and a change of clothes; wear something light you don't mind sweating through, and skip a heavy meal in the couple of hours beforehand. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and set up. It gets easier fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.

Heat and intense exercise aren't right for everyone — if you're pregnant or have heart, blood-pressure, or other health concerns, check with a doctor before your first hot class.
