From the reviews
We had an absolutely incredible experience during a private class for our dragonboat team at YogaSix! From start to finish, everything was seamless, welcoming, and thoughtfully put together. A huge shoutout to Emily, our instructor, who was phenomenal.
I am really enjoying my classes and experience at YogaSix Blvd One! The front desk team is very nice and helpful, and the instructors are phenomenal. If you’ve done hot yoga before and you are interested in a bit of a challenge, I highly recommend the Sculpt and Flow class with Nancy.
I really love the environment when you first walk in, the music always matches the vibe of the class before you walk in and I’m always so welcomed by the people at the desk. The classes are the best part with a different variety of classes that you can move at you own place. I never once felt like I couldn’t catch up.
I did the restore session with Irene as my first YogaSix experience last week. I was very impressed by Irene’s soothing energy and would be lying if I didn’t feel some kind of healing occurring during the session. The music was on point, the lighting was perfect and everyone seemed to respect each other.
Teacher training at YogaSix Boulevard One
YogaSix Boulevard One comes up for teacher training — confirmed on their own site. If you're thinking about becoming an instructor, a few things are worth asking up front. First, which certification the program leads to — most hot-yoga trainings are Yoga Alliance registered (RYT-200 or RYT-500), and the style matters: a Bikram or hot-power lineage trains differently than a hot-vinyasa or sculpt one. Second, the schedule and prerequisites — cohorts often run in intensive weekend blocks or over several months, and many studios want you practicing regularly there first. Third, cost and payment plans, and whether tuition includes an unlimited membership for the training period. Teacher training is a real commitment of time and money, so it's worth a call or an info session before you enroll.
Your first hot yoga class at YogaSix Boulevard One
Nervous about your first hot class? Almost everyone is, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: the room is heated, so it feels intense for the first few minutes — rest in child's pose any time you need to, no one will bat an eye. Hydrate: drink water through the day before class, not just as you arrive, and bring a bottle. What to bring: a mat and towel (or rent them here), water, and a change of clothes; wear something light you don't mind sweating through, and skip a heavy meal in the couple of hours beforehand. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and set up. It gets easier fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
