From the reviews
Zen in Eastchester has arrived! The yoga instructors are diverse and well rounded. Incredible classes ranging from sculpt and flow to restore. Kathy M will take you on a yoga journey that can’t be duplicated. Kelli V will introduce you to everything yoga should be! The staff is friendly and helpful.
Just took a yoga class and I’m so glad I did! The Anashia was incredibly welcoming and gave great cues throughout—perfect for all levels. The flow was grounding, yet challenging in the best way, and I left feeling more centered, relaxed, and energized. The space was peaceful, clean, and had such a calming vibe.
What makes this a great yoga studio? I believe it’s the classes and teachers! I am so grateful to be on my yoga journey with Cece and the other yoga Instructors! The YogaSix staff is welcoming and the space is also very clean! I always look forward to my next class. I highly recommend you to join now!
I had a great first class here with Cece! Everyone was so kind and welcoming. I did the restorative class focusing on the lower back and it was the perfect balance between stretching and strength building! I also loved the personal touch the studio gave, with a sign welcoming me for my first class 😊
Teacher training at YogaSix Eastchester
YogaSix Eastchester comes up for teacher training — confirmed on their own site. If you're thinking about becoming an instructor, a few things are worth asking up front. First, which certification the program leads to — most hot-yoga trainings are Yoga Alliance registered (RYT-200 or RYT-500), and the style matters: a Bikram or hot-power lineage trains differently than a hot-vinyasa or sculpt one. Second, the schedule and prerequisites — cohorts often run in intensive weekend blocks or over several months, and many studios want you practicing regularly there first. Third, cost and payment plans, and whether tuition includes an unlimited membership for the training period. Teacher training is a real commitment of time and money, so it's worth a call or an info session before you enroll.
Your first hot yoga class at YogaSix Eastchester
Nervous about your first hot class? Almost everyone is, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: the room is heated, so it feels intense for the first few minutes — rest in child's pose any time you need to, no one will bat an eye. Hydrate: drink water through the day before class, not just as you arrive, and bring a bottle. What to bring: a mat and towel, water, and a change of clothes; wear something light you don't mind sweating through, and skip a heavy meal in the couple of hours beforehand. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and set up. It gets easier fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
