From the reviews

I signed up for the 2 weeks unlimited offer for new members and have truly enjoyed my experience. The front desk and yoga instructors are very kind and welcoming. The community is lovely. The rooms are hot but not unbearably hot like other studios.

As a yogi who has practiced for over 12 years all over the city and long island, this studio is at the top! The community is incredibly supportive. The teachers are beyond knowledgeable, and the room is HOT! They keep the room and showers clean and have extremely fair pricing in my opinion.

im not normally one to go out of my way to write reviews but I had such an amazing experience at New York Yoga that I had to. This was my first time going to a yoga studio, and was admittedly nervous and intimidated at first, but the staff was extremely welcoming.

★★★★★ — Sarah, Nov 2024

Out of all my options for yoga in the city, I keep coming back to New York Yoga. Front desk staff is personable. The studio is welcoming. But the instructors stand out the most! Cameron Gore is my favorite, she is so kind, intentional, and helpful.

Your first hot yoga class at New York Yoga - Hot Yoga

Nervous about your first hot class? Almost everyone is, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: the room is heated to around ~105°F, so it feels intense for the first few minutes — rest in child's pose any time you need to, no one will bat an eye. Hydrate: drink water through the day before class, not just as you arrive, and bring a bottle. What to bring: a mat and towel (or rent them here), water, and a change of clothes; wear something light you don't mind sweating through, and skip a heavy meal in the couple of hours beforehand. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and set up. It gets easier fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.

Heat and intense exercise aren't right for everyone — if you're pregnant or have heart, blood-pressure, or other health concerns, check with a doctor before your first hot class.
